6 Things Parents Can Do to Improve Kids’ Eating Habits

Here are a few things you can do to help foster healthy eating in your family.  Although I’m not a fan of the title, there’s some good information here.  One thing I would heed caution about is giving kids unlimited access to the food cupboard (at least until a certain age).  I encourage parents to use the ‘trust model’ developed by Ellyn Satter (trust model defined).  This model divides responsibility of feeding between parent and child; the parent chooses ‘when, where and what’ and the child decides ‘how much’.
