Eating Disorder Psychotherapist (20-40 hours)

Metrowest Nutrition is looking for a part time and/or full time psychotherapist specializing in eating disorders to join our multi-disciplinary group practice. We have three office locations – Newton Centre, Framingham and Westborough, MA and are currently practicing almost exclusively via telehealth and will continue offering this service to clients even when we fully return to our offices.  We are seeking a clinician who would eventually offer in-person and telehealth sessions at our Newton Centre and/or Framingham locations.

Metrowest Nutrition is a multi-disciplinary group practice dedicated to helping individuals heal their relationship with food, movement and body.  We specialize in eating disorders, disordered eating, pediatrics, athletic performance and women’s health.

Originating as a nutrition counseling practice, we have recently expanded our services to include psychotherapy, occupational therapy and movement therapy.  We operate from an inclusive Health at Every Size (HAES) model and are committed to creating a space for diversity both within our team and for our clients.  We strongly believe that whole-person healing includes a close, compassionate investigation into all components of wellbeing: physical, psychosocial, emotional and economic while honoring an individual’s cultural identity.

Qualified candidates are fully licensed in the State of Massachusetts.  LICSW, PhD and PsyD preferred.  Clinicians working towards licensure with strong clinical experience and skill will be considered.  A minimum of two years experience working with eating disorders, preferably both with adolescents and adults is required.  Compensation is percentage based on income received (60-70% depending on experience).

Therapist must be growth-oriented, enjoy learning and collaborating with others and committed to the mission of our organization.

Metrowest Nutrition provides strong clinical and administrative support, ongoing opportunities for training and a steady flow of referrals to clinicians. Candidate must be independent, driven, collaborative, and enhance our fun, connected, and positive minded group of clinicians.

Qualifications:

  • Current State of Massachusetts license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LMHC
  • Willing to see a minimum of 12 clients a week
  • Minimum of 2 years of eating disorder experience
  • Prior private practice experience is a plus
