The BEST Culinary Adventure!
I couldn’t wait to share this with all of you. If you haven’t already, you MUST try Sur La Table’s Cooking Classes! I had the great privilege of taking
one of Chef Clarissa Lord-Norton’s classes last Thursday at Sur La Table and it was phenomenal… as if I’d stepped out of the Natick Collection
directly into Italy! I kid you not… this was one of the most delicious meals I’ve ever tasted. From Homemade butternut squash raviolis topped
with gorgonzola dolce hazelnut sauce (just writing these words make my mouth water) to pan-seared pork tenderloin to the smoothest, custard dessert…
maple pot de crème that finished the meal off perfectly!
What made this meal so delicious? The fresh ingredients certainly had a role but beyond that, it was the fact that we all enjoyed making and eating
it together. Such a rarity in today’s hustle and bustle. And, I’m not going to lie, the fact that the prep work and clean-up was taken care of
was pretty nice too! But honestly, the pleasure really came from being together in the process.
AND they have kids classes! I can’t wait to take my kids here. Cooking is such a great sensory experience and opportunity to get kids really involved
in food… and more likely to eat it. Clarissa shared with us that she’d had a group of students who were all on the autism spectrum in for a private
class recently and they were the best ravioli makers she’d ever seen! She also shared some pride in being able to get one of the pickiest of picky
eaters to try her egg drop soup. So, if you’re looking for a fun night out, a creative birthday party idea or an activity for your family, make
sure to check out Sur La Table. They have some classes lined up for kids over April vacation too! I’m so glad to have found this treasure! Oh,
