She/Her
"I'm passionate about helping my clients find a more peaceful relationship with food and their bodies"
Laura has been working in the field of nutrition for more than 20 years. She focuses on helping people find compassion for themselves, making choices about food and movement from a nonjudgmental space.
Laura grew up in an Italian American family where food was the focus of every gathering. Laura’s dirty little secret is she was a dietitian who couldn’t cook for many years. She has since learned to embrace her inner chef, and loves to prepare local, fresh foods in flavorful ways. From her own experience, she knows it’s never too late to learn to prepare nourishing foods that taste delicious. She is delighted when her clients discover a new food or flavor they can add to their meal rotation.
Laura has experience in the inpatient and outpatient hospital settings, as well as in community and corporate nutrition. Her work experience includes inpatient dietitian and Albany Medical Center and Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital, and outpatient dietitian in Diabetes, Nutrition and Weight Management at Boston Medical Center, Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Charles River Medical Associates. Laura has also worked in corporate wellness providing a wide variety of programming including seminars, food demos, wellness displays and individual counseling. She has lectured widely on various wellness topics including cardiovascular disease, diabetes and intuitive eating.
Laura earned a BS in Nutrition Science from Russell Sage College and completed her dietetic internship at Sage Graduate School. Laura also earned a BA in English and music from Hartwick College.
