Carolyn Dubnik, MPH, RD, LDN

Dietitian
She/Her

"I strive to help my clients unlearn the messages that diet culture has engrained in our society. My goal is to spread the message that food is our friend - not the enemy!"

Carolyn is a HAES-aligned Registered Dietitian who specializes in eating disorder care. Carolyn earned her Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University. Here, she gained a strong background in biological sciences, which greatly benefited her when she went on to pursue her Master’s degree in Public Health/Nutrition at UNC Chapel Hill. At UNC, Carolyn also completed the Coordinated Program of Dietetics, where she earned her Registered Dietitian credential and gained strong experience in medical nutrition therapy, sports nutrition, and intuitive eating.

Throughout her training to become a Registered Dietitian, Carolyn became passionate about helping others heal their relationships with food and movement. This led her to pursue a career in eating disorder treatment, landing her a position as a Dietitian with Veritas Collaborative’s inpatient/residential program in Durham, North Carolina. Here, Carolyn gained invaluable experience in eating disorder care while she worked with clients of various diagnoses, ages, and backgrounds.

Carolyn works with clients of all ages, and has significant experience working with adolescents ages 7-17. As a dietitian, she operates with a Health at Every Size (HAES) lens and often incorporates Intuitive Eating principles into her sessions. Carolyn realizes that eating disorder care is complex, and therefore approaches conversations with clients compassionately and without judgment. She seeks to set realistic nutrition goals with her clients and to help gently guide them toward an improved relationship with food.
