Katie Epstein-Candler, MS, RD, LDN

Licensed Dietitian
She/Her

"I believe all people deserve to have a positive relationship with food - we need it every day, for our entire lives! My mission is to help each individual in their personal relationship with food and nourishment, whatever that looks like for them."

Katie is a weight-inclusive registered dietitian who specializes in perinatal nutrition, perimenopause support, and eating disorder recovery. She loves helping people find more joy and less stress in their relationship with food, meeting each client with curiosity, empathy, and deep respect for their individual goals. Katie believes there is no singular definition of health or a life well-lived, and that meaningful progress is best measured against a person’s own values, not external standards.

Understanding that our relationship with food and body image evolves throughout the lifespan, Katie works with clients of all ages. She supports children learning to trust their internal hunger and fullness cues, adolescents and young adults navigating independence and body image concerns, and adults seeking peace with food during life transitions.

Katie has focused training and experience in perinatal nutrition, supporting individuals through preconception, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and early parenthood. She also works with women navigating perimenopause and menopause, helping manage symptoms such as metabolic changes, shifts in body composition, mood changes, and energy fluctuations. Through a non-diet, Health at Every Size® (HAES) lens, she helps clients nourish their bodies during hormonal transitions without restriction or weight stigma.

With a strong professional background in eating disorder treatment, Katie is especially passionate about supporting adolescents and adults at all stages of recovery. She has worked across inpatient and residential levels of care and brings extensive experience to her outpatient work. When supporting adolescents with eating disorders, she utilizes a personalized approach to Family-Based Treatment (FBT), collaborating closely with caregivers to prioritize recovery while honoring each family’s unique dynamic.

Katie earned her MS in Nutrition & Dietetics from Boston University after completing a BA in Dance from Muhlenberg College. She completed her dietetic internship at Boston Medical Center and began her career with the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program before transitioning into higher levels of eating disorder care. She now brings her combined expertise in medical nutrition therapy, reproductive health, midlife nutrition, and eating disorder recovery to her work at Metrowest.

Her ultimate goal is to help clients build confidence in their ability to nourish both body and soul — through every stage of life.
