Katie Epstein-Candler, MS, RD, LDN

Licensed Dietitian
She/Her

"I believe all people deserve to have a positive relationship with food - we need it every day, for our entire lives! My mission is to help each individual in their personal relationship with food and nourishment, whatever that looks like for them."

Katie loves helping people find more joy and less stress in their relationship with food. She aims to meet her clients with curiosity and empathy, finding the greatest value in following their goals and priorities for the counseling journey. She has learned that there is no singular definition of health or a life worth living, and progress is best measured against an individual’s own goals and values.

Recognizing that our relationship with food and body image is ever-changing throughout the life cycle, Katie enjoys working with clients of all ages – kids learning to listen to their bodies, adolescents and young adults exploring independence and battling negative body image, and adults in middle and later age who want to find more peace with food. Balancing evidence-based nutrition science with individual lived experiences, her ultimate goal is for clients to gain confidence in their own ability to fuel their bodies and souls without restriction.

Katie’s professional experience in eating disorder care makes her particularly passionate about supporting adolescents and adults at all stages of recovery. With adolescent clients suffering from eating disorders, she takes a personalized approach to family-based treatment (FBT) to find a strategy that best suits each family dynamic while prioritizing recovery for the client.

Katie received her MS in Nutrition & Dietetics from Boston University after completing a BA in Dance from Muhlenberg College. She completed her dietetic internship at Boston Medical Center and worked for the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program before shifting her focus to eating disorders, working in inpatient and residential levels of care before joining Metrowest.
