Emma earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Lesley University in 2009, followed by a Master’s in Education from Lesley University in 2011. She later completed a Master’s in Social Work at Arizona State University. She is a professional member of the Multi-Service Eating Disorders Association (MEDA) and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Emma meets clients where they are in their healing journey, working alongside them to process trauma, identify their needs, and develop healthy coping skills. She believes that her clients are the experts of their own life experiences, strengths, and challenges. Emma tailors her therapeutic approach to each individual, utilizing a wraparound perspective and incorporating various evidence-based techniques and modalities. She views therapy as a collaborative process, working closely with clients and their treatment teams to foster meaningful progress.
With nearly 20 years of experience in the field of eating disorders, Emma has extensive expertise in helping clients navigate the complexities of their recovery. She understands the non-linear nature of healing and is committed to empowering her clients as they build healthier coping mechanisms and regain a sense of control over their lives.
Emma strives to create a therapeutic space rooted in empathy, non-judgment, and respect for her clients’ autonomy. She believes that setbacks are not failures but integral parts of the recovery process. By normalizing challenges, she helps clients stay engaged in therapy, even when the journey feels difficult or overwhelming.
