She/Her

"I am deeply passionate about meeting people where they are, planning together, providing education, and coming to a mutual decision about their care."
Kayla is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who brings a background in nutrition and human physiology to her work. She takes a collaborative, whole-person approach, considering each client’s unique experiences, needs, and goals when developing an individualized plan for care.
Kayla’s path began with a desire to become a dietitian. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science with a Dietetics Specialization and a master’s degree in Integrative Human Physiology from Central Washington University. Her interests ultimately led her to psychiatric nursing, and she went on to earn a master’s degree in Psychiatric Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from UMass Chan Medical School.
Kayla works with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, mood disorders, and serious mental illness. Her experience also includes women’s mental health and support during pregnancy and the postpartum period. She welcomes LGBTQIA+ clients and strives to create a space where people feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care.
At the heart of Kayla’s approach is a commitment to meeting people where they are. She values open conversation, education, and shared decision-making, helping clients understand their options and choose a path that feels right for them.
