Jill Merrigan, MS, RD
Growing up in Western Massachusetts with fresh produce and local farms, Jill developed a love for good food at an early age. Jill was an avid athlete throughout her childhood playing ice hockey and lacrosse and then collegiate level field hockey. Combining her love for good food with the need to properly fuel her body on the athletic field, Jill became passionate about nutrition and educating others.
At St. Lawrence University, Jill pursued a degree in English and following graduation she spent time in NYC working in the magazine industry. She then moved to Boston to
attend Simmons College in 2011 and embark on her career in nutrition. Jill continued on to complete her dietetic internship at Simmons College and pursue an MS in Applied Nutrition from Northeastern University. In 2015, Jill completed further training in the LEAH (Leadership Education Adolescent Health) Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. This training provided Jill with skills to work on a multidisciplinary team while becoming an expert in adolescent health and the outpatient management of eating disorders and disordered eating.
Jill’s work includes a blend of Intuitive Eating, Motivational Interviewing, HAES (Health at Every Size) while always working to meet her clients where they are at. Currently, Jill is a full-time dietitian at Metrowest Nutrition and sees clients in both the Newton and Framingham offices. Jill loves to take advantage of the New England scenery while running or hiking with friends or spending time with her family on the Cape Cod beaches.
