Jamie Dannenberg, MS, RD, LDN (she/her/hers)

Jamie believes that food is more than just fuel or sustenance, and that this common mentality undermines the impact and meaning food has in our lives. Food is memories, connections, fun, relational, grief, and celebratory, and doesn’t need to be about rules, restriction, shame, and fear. However, Jamie understands that relationships with food can be complicated by critical food thoughts, judgments about one’s body, trauma, access to food resources, and overall food and body history.

Given her personal experience of caring for a loved one with an eating disorder, Jamie understands that recovery from an eating disorder, disordered eating, and/or chronic dieting often involves changing behaviors that we have relied on for a long time. Using a non-diet and Health at Every Size® (HAES) approach, Jamie brings patience, compassion, and support to all of her clients, helping them heal their relationships with food and their bodies, to allow for a better connection and relationship to themselves.

Jamie provides a safe and inclusive space for people of all sizes, shapes, genders, sexualities, races, religions, abilities, and backgrounds. In particular, Jamie understands the intersection between sexuality, gender identity, gender expression, and eating disorders. As such, Jamie creates a safe and affirming environment for transgender, non-binary, and queer individuals, who struggle with their relationship with food, eating disorders/disordered eating, chronic dieting and negative body image.

Jamie received her Bachelor’s degree from The College of Wooster in Wooster, OH and completed the Coordinated Program in Dietetics and a Masters Degree in Food and Nutrition at Framingham State University in 2016. In addition to working at Metrowest Nutrition, Jamie also works in community nutrition at South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) in Framingham.
