Nick Hamdi, MS, RDN (he/they)

"Nick leverages lived experience to apply a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens to nutrition therapy."

Nick (he/they) works with clients of all ages to redefine and understand health, connect with and accept their bodies, and find pleasure in food and movement. Nick is a queer/non-binary, Arab, and fat dietitian who integrates harm-reduction principles into his practice. Nick leverages their lived experience to apply a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens to nutrition therapy.

Nick enjoys working with folks from all backgrounds and walks of life, and specializes in nutrition counseling for LGBTQIA+ folks and clients in larger bodies. Nick is fat-positive and regularly works with clients on body image, disordered eating, and navigating healthcare spaces in a larger body.

Nick is a PhD candidate in Rhode Island. Nick earned their Bachelor’s in Clinical Nutrition with a minor in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies from the University of California, Davis. Nick completed their MS in Nutrition and Dietetic Internship at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. When he’s not working, you can find him chasing his dog around New England or making art in the ceramics studio.
