Growing up in Western Massachusetts, surrounded by fresh produce and local farms, Jill developed a passion for food at an early age. She was a competitive athlete and knew she needed to properly fuel her body to support her hours on skates playing ice hockey or on the field playing lacrosse.
Jill attended St. Lawrence University and then headed off to NYC, where she pursued a career in the magazine industry. Although this was an exciting career, she longed for something more meaningful and to incorporate her passion for food and nutrition into her work.
This led Jill to Boston to study nutrition at Simmons College. She continued on at Simmons to complete her dietetic internship and then obtained her master’s in Applied Nutrition from Northeastern University. Jill completed further training in the Leadership Education Adolescent Health Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. This training provided Jill with skills to become an expert in adolescent health and the outpatient management of eating disorders and disordered eating.
Jill is a member of the Multi-Service Eating Disorder Association.
